We can confirm that water supplies have now been restored following a power failure at our Bough Beech Water Treatment Works. We know this incident has caused disruption for customers and our partners today, including Gatwick Airport, and we are sorry.
We thank everyone for their patience while our teams worked to restore supplies as quickly and safely as possible.
As the network returns to normal there may be some discolouration or slower flows, this is perfectly normal.

Supplies are gradually returning for impacted customers including Gatwick Airport – it will take time for the network to fully return to normal as this has been a highly unusual and complex issue.
We want to reiterate that our teams are working as quickly as they possibly can and we are grateful for everyone’s patience.

We are pleased to provide an update that our Bough Beech water treatment works are back up and running, we now need to treat the water before returning services to normal as quickly as we possibly can.

Due to a number of complications caused by a power outage at our Bough Beech Water Treatment Works, some customers are experiencing low water pressure or a temporary loss of supply.
We are working to overcome those complications and return the treatment works to supply as quickly as we can.
Gatwick Airport is being affected but we are working with them while our teams work to restore normal service as quickly as possible.

We are now delivering bottled water to the most vulnerable customers on our Priority Services Register who need it most.
